In more ways than one
three days were filled with great skeen time
dad was the dreamer
who made it simply sublime

dad was the dreamer
who made it simply sublime
(Madi and I went biking with Mom)
Home for some family time
in Autumn amidst school days
so grateful to have been there
for reasons more than words can say.
(we made autumn cupcakes for a gathering)
For some fun we did look
though not far distant we could see
Pike Place market in the sun
Ivar's fish and chowder a plenty.
(Kristen, Madi and Kevin)
Storms let up just in time
the last hours 'fore my return
we slalomed on glassy lake water
Dad cut his ski through the cold water burn.

Seasons change and paths take turns
while days too come and go
but some things are unchanging
like family, a love and home you always know.

Oh Jenni you're so cute! I love this post! I'm glad you got to see the family, and get some skiing in!!
ReplyDeletep.s. those cupcakes look AWESOME!
I'm so jealous. Those vegetables look awfully tasty and the water looks like absolute GLASS. Steve's such a stud. How lucky you are to have such a great dad and I to have such a great brother! If only I could make a living water skiing 3 times a week and eating brown cow ice cream every day. Of course, I'd get paid overtime to "energize" the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteSo great to see you in MD. Thanks for coming up to College Park to visit. When are we going to cycle across Missouri from the STL to Adam-ondi-ahman? It would be fun!!
